This incentive shall seek to support Undertakings through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investment in relation to the activities outlined and aimed at potentially improving the productivity of the enterprise.

Scheme Summary
This SME grant scheme part-finances investment towards expansion, diversification, innovation of the operations and initial investment. The scheme is aimed at potentially improving the productivity of the enterprise.
The scheme co-finances 50% of eligible costs (investments in Malta) and 60% of eligible costs (investments in Gozo) up to a maximum grant of €120,000. Minimum funding is of €10,000 and therefore a project must have a minimum investment of €20,000 excl. vat. Investments in Gozo will benefit from an additional 10% aid intensity.
The grant falls under the de-minimis regulation i.e. a single Undertaking may not receive more than €200,000 (or €100,000 in the case of single undertakings performing road freight transport for hire or reward) in de minimis aid from any public funding (EU Funds and/or any national funds) over a rolling period of three fiscal years.
Projects must be concluded within 24 months from signing of the grant agreement, which is signed following project approval. Investments are to be concluded by 30 June 2029.
